What is Fluconazole and how does it work?
Fluconazole is an antifungal medication used to treat infections caused by fungi. The most common cause of fungal infections is a yeast called Candida.
It works by blocking a key enzyme that fungi require to make ergosterol, a key component in their cell membranes. Without ergosterol, the fungal cell membrane becomes leaky. This kills the fungi and treats the infection.

No, Fluconazole is an antifungal. Antifungals are specifically designed to treat fungal infections, while antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections.
How to use Fluconazole
Who can use Fluconazole?
